2017-2018 Bluestem Reading Challenge!
Who will read and pass Reading Counts quizzes for all 20 titles? Our class typically has almost every student pass ten quizzes to make it to the fourth grade Bluestem celebration.
This year, let's get our whole class in on the party!

Extended Response Resources
Here you will find the planning sheet for extended responses. This is using the Step Up to Writing format. You may use complete sentences to plan out your response, but you do not have to. If you can write from words or phrases, do so. Remember that you may quote the passage in your KEY IDEA yellow sections, and you should connect to the response and what you read in the RED DETAIL sections. I would suggest opening your plan sheets in GOODNOTES. Don't forget to use the checklist to go over your work!

Here you will find the document you should open in PAGES to type up your extended responses. Again, use the checklist at the top to check your work. If you cannot give yourself 10 points on it, you must go back and improve your answer.

Extended Response Example
Please use this example from a previous year's class which we created together to help you write your own extended responses. It is about the quality of your answer more than how much you write.
Use the checklist to go over your finished work, and if you can't give yourself a "10",
you need to GO BACK and IMPROVE your work.
To view, open in Goodnotes.
